Laurie Ayres

Lic Ac, BSc (hons), MBAcC, Lic Tui Na, MBTNA, Lic OHM, MRCHM

Laurie graduated from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine after 3 years training in acupuncture, 1 1/2 years of training in Tui Na, and 2 years training in Chinese herbal medicine. This training included 2 years of supervised clinical experience. He holds a BSc (hons) degree in acupuncture, licentiate diplomas in acupuncture (Lic Ac), tui na (Lic Tui Na) and oriental herbal medicine (Lic OHM), and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) the British Tui Na Association (BTNA) and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM)

 

Laurie has a special interest in treating people with autoimmune diseases such as:

 

• Rheumatoid arthritis

• Crohn’s disease

• Ulcerative colitis

• Lupus/SLE

• Psoriasis, Psoriatic arthritis

• Ankylosing spondylitis

• Sjogren’s syndrome

• Autoimmune hepatitis

• Henoch Schonlein Purpura (HSP)

• Multiple Sclerosis

 

Other conditions Laurie also has a special interest in treating include:

 

• Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

• Fibromyalgia

• Endometriosis

 

Laurie engages in continuous, ongoing research and study, focusing on the classical Chinese herbal medicine of the Shang Han Lun system, primarily with Dr Arnaud Versluys.

 

Laurie is also an instructor with the ICEAM (Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine)
