Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points along channels which follow various paths in the body. Through careful selection of these points the functions of the body can be balanced, and any dysfunction can be rectified.

Acupuncture is often used in conjunction with other ancillary therapies.

Is acupuncture painful? Acupuncture needles are very different to hypodermic needles used by your doctor, they are much finer and the sensation upon insertion is very different, being more of a dull ache.

Is acupuncture safe? Acupuncture is an incredibly safe practice when performed by a properly trained practitioner (see The York Acupuncture Safety Study).

All needles used are sterilized, single use only.
