Recurrent Cystitis and frequent urination

 

I had what I originally thought was cystitis quite a few times and found after being to the doctor it didn't always go away with the antibiotics I was given, I often felt uncomfortable and had to go to the toilet every hour.

 

The Doctor wasn't sure if it was cystitis or something else. Laurie gave me a consultation and then prescribed me some herbs which I took three times daily and weren't particularly pleasant tasting to say the least but I found that after about six weeks I no longer had the discomfort and didn’t need to urinate anywhere near as often.

 

Laurie explained to me that my body wasn't absorbing all the cold water I was drinking (which I thought previously would flush out my system and help clear up the problem) he advised me to drink less and drink warm or hot drinks, and that the treatment would help my body absorb the fluids I took correctly.

 

I'm still at a loss to know the western diagnoses for my problem but I've found the Chinese herbs seem to have helped my body deal with it, and I no longer have any symptoms. I would definitely use Chinese medicine again as I felt it helped my body heal itself rather than combatting a problem with an aggressive drug like antibiotics that can leave you with other problems. I also found Laurie explanation of the treatment helped me to understand what was happening with my body.

Lymes Disease

 

I attended Laurie's acupuncture sessions for the first time approximately one year ago with a little fear and a lot of skepticism having never before tried any form of complementary medicine. I came to Laurie in great pain and I was extremely tired because of Lyme's disease (contracted a few years ago).

 

I have to say that I am very happy with the results. My general health has really improved and I am feeling much better in general.

 

I now seem to have more energy since beginning the treatment. Also the herbal treatment prescribed by Laurie helped me tremendously. After about 2-3 weeks I noticed an improvement in the pain. As I continued with my treatment I began having more energy, and noticed an improvement in my overall health. Traditional medicine offers drugs that sometimes address the symptoms but are almost never without side effects.

 

For me, acupuncture and herbal treatment effectively treat my chronic pain with no side effects. The symptoms occasionally came back but stopped once I've started the treatment again.

 

I would highly recommend Laurie's treatments to anyone suffering from Lyme's disease.

Henoch Schonlein Purpura (HSP)

 

Doctors diagnosed me with having Henoch Schonlein Purpura (HSP) an auto-immune condition that had no treatment options. Laurie treated me over a period of time and really helped me. I felt relaxed and comfortable during treatments.

 

Laurie always explained things to me, making sure I was ok and answering any questions that I had in a way that I could understand. I found the experience extremely reassuring as I could relax and forget anything that was worrying me. Laurie really helped me to make a full recovery and I thank him very much for that.

Eye Twitch

 

I first visited Laurie for a persistent upper eyelid twitch which had been bothering me for 10 months.

Laurie’s calm and professional manner immediately put me at ease as I started a course of acupuncture treatments.

 

After three visits the eyelid twitch had eased and after six visits it had cleared up completely and hasn’t returned. The acupuncture has also indirectly helped with my sinus and allergy problems - I cannot recommend the treatment highly enough and I would not hesitate to return to Laurie should any health problems arise in the future.

Back Spasms

 

I just wanted to thank you for all your help, support and advice during my treatment. After suffering from back spasms on a weekly basis for nearly 18 months, I am now spasm free, more flexible and now feel an enormous improvement in my general health and wellbeing. Although I though the herbs were an expensive luxury to start, I soon realised how they formed an integral part of the treatment and immediately felt the benefits.

 

I have tried every other form of treatment that was available and I wish I had tried acupuncture sooner – could have saved myself a shed load of money and months of disappointment. Thank you again.
